Association
Promoting young talent is an important goal of the VHB, as the future development of business administration in German-speaking countries depends to a large extent on the promotion of the young academics of tomorrow. Promoting young talent therefore also means promoting young researchers in our discipline. We take a broad view of "young talent", meaning not only holders of qualification or tenure-track positions and junior professors, but also doctoral students in business administration. We at the VHB want to be a voice for these young academics.
In our working group we develop new concepts for the promotion of young researchers. We want to serve as a contact point for ideas, suggestions and proposals. We are particularly interested in the exchange of ideas between young academics from different business disciplines. In addition, we work interdisciplinarily and seek dialogue with other disciplines.
Our working group has the following objectives
- to identify current challenges for young academics in business administration and to bring them to the attention of the Association,
- Identify possible solutions and stimulate discussion within the VHB,
- to improve the services of the VHB for young academics,
- To increase the attractiveness of the VHB for young business academics.
The VHB pursues specific projects to promote young academics (in particular VHB-ProDok, Career panel at the main conference, young academics conferences in the Scientific Commissions). We would like to constructively support these and future VHB projects.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact any member of the working group - even if you are not a member of the VHB.
