We welcome interested persons who are academically active in the field of business administration and would like to join the German Academic Association of Business Research.

Apply for membership

The requirements for membership are laid down in the statutes of the VHB. The intended doctorate in business research or an academic activity in business administration after the doctorate are the main criteria. In § 5 of the statutes you will find the different possibilities of personal membership. Applications for membership are decided by the Board of directors, if necessary after examination by the Membership Committee.

According to the decision of the General Assembly, the regular annual membership fee (per calendar year) from 2025 is EUR 140.00 for full membership (decision of 5 June 2024) and EUR 30.00 for junior membership (decision of 9 June 2017).

Withdrawal from the association is possible at the end of each calendar year with a notice period of three months.
