The scientific commission for Business & Information Systems Engineering (WKWI) represents the interests of all members of the German Academic Association for Business Research (VHB) who are actively involved in the field of Business Information Systems in research and teaching.

The main focus of the commission's work is the organisation of conferences, the promotion of young scientists, the preparation of recommendations on curricula, equipment and target media for the publication of scientific contributions as well as the representation of interests towards politics, the DFG, practitioners and other scientific commissions and organisations.

The Portal www.wirtschaftsinformatik.de offers a central entry point for information about studies, job description and research in business information systems.
