The Academic Commission RECH (WK RECH) represents the interests of all members of the “Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. (VHB)” that engage in accounting questions in research and teaching (among others, internal and external accounting, auditing, control).

Central points of the work of the Commission are

• Exchange of information, particularly about vacancies for professors, upcoming conferences (incl. call for papers) and special issues,
• Initiation and discussion of research projects,
• The realisation of conferences and workshops,
• Promotion of junior researchers,
• Discussion of professional developments and challenges,
• Recommendations for the professional training of auditors,
• Representation of interests within the VHB and to politics, accounting committees (esp. Deutsches Rechnungslegung Standards Committee, International Accounting Standards Board), of the “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG”, and international organisations, such as European Accounting Association (EAA) or International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER)
